Posted on Updated on

If you don’t want to create a site collection for a Community Site, this is your option:

  1. Activate Features over the Site Collection
  2. Activate Features over the Web Site
## SharePoint DLL
[void][System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("Microsoft.SharePoint")
Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell -ErrorAction "SilentlyContinue"
## Set-ExecutionPolicy unrestricted (Just in Case)

$siteCollection = http://intranet

### Social Features SPSite ###
$siteF = Get-SPSite $siteCollection
    Enable-SPFeature -Identity "SocialSite" -Url $siteCollection.Url -Force -PassThru -Verbose
    Enable-SPFeature -Identity "Ratings" -Url $siteCollection.Url -Force -PassThru -Verbose
$siteF.Dispose()

### Social Features SPWeb ###
$siteF = Get-SPWeb $siteCollection'/corp/community/my'
    Enable-SPFeature -Identity "CategoriesList" -Url $siteF.Url -Force -PassThru -Verbose
    Enable-SPFeature -Identity "MembershipList" -Url $siteF.Url -Force -PassThru -Verbose
    Enable-SPFeature -Identity "AbuseReportsList" -Url $siteF.Url -Force -PassThru -Verbose
$siteF.Dispose()

Good Luck 😉
